Elizabeth is a Certified Yoga Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher. Her offerings incorporate the traditions of Hatha, Restorative and Therapeutic Yoga, as well as a background in community mental health. Exploring the intersections of physical, mental, emotional and social health, Elizabeth supports her students in recognizing their inherent worth and increasing resiliency.

Since 2009 Elizabeth has been leading wellness groups. Initially focused on social rehabilitation and community mental health, she witnessed the need to incorporate the body with social influences. Elizabeth deepened her yogic studies to share with groups and individuals, and yoga became a useful tool to address strengths and needs, to support those seeking integration and healing.

Elizabeth began teaching yoga in 2013 and completed her yoga therapy training in 2014. Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, she has shared yoga therapy with individuals of diverse backgrounds to support coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, overwhelm and myriad physical health concerns. She has worked in residential treatment programs, through case management services, in substance abuse programs, in mental health outpatient clinics, with youth alternatives programs, with tech companies and in medical clinics, including Swords to PlowsharesWomen’s Resource CenterBerkeley Youth Alternatives, REALM Charter School, Mission Mental Health, LifeLong Medical CareBerkeley High Mountain Bike Team, Kala Art Institute, Bonita House, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, PVUSD and Elevate Addiction Services

You can join Elizabeth in public classes online and at community centers and yoga studios around the larger Bay Area, as well as at trainings, retreats and private sessions. She is committed to making yoga inclusive and accessible to support healthy communities and push towards equity and social justice.
